GREAT THINGS TO DO AT TMBC

canoeCANOEING:

There are canoes, kayaks, and a paddle boat available on the larger of the two ponds by the cabin. Enjoy rowing around the pond in God’s beautiful scenery.

TROUT FISHING:pond

The Yule Creek runs through the camp property. You can fish on the creek , as well as Beaver Lake in Marble, Colorado (2 miles) and the Crystal River with a Colorado fishing license (Available only for adult camps). We have two ponds around the cabin area, and several beaver ponds west of the cabin that you can fish. You won’t need a fishing license when fishing on the camp property. Please bring your own poles and bait.

horseshoesHORSESHOES:

Two teams or singles can play. The pits are located between the two ponds across from the cabin.

volleyballVOLLEYBALL:

It’s an all American sport that is loved by all and located by the cabin.

hikingHIKING:

There are many trails to hike on. You may want to hike to the Yule Marble Quarry. This is where the marble used to make the Tomb of the Unknown Solider and the pillars of the Lincoln Memorial came from. The quarry is located 1 mile up the valley on the main road past the camp entrance.

jeepJEEP/ATV:

A trip to the old Crystal City Mill (1—1/2 hours) is one that everyone should experience. You may want to go on through Lead King Basin (3 hour trip), there are signs giving directions on the roads. There is also a local commercial 4x4 touring company in the town of Marble. (Ask about availability)

archeryARCHERY:

An activity that is fun for everyone as long as you don't aim at the wildlife. Located at the end of the parking lot.

slideGRANDPA'S GUNBARREL SLIP-IN-SLIDE RIDE:

This is a quick trip - and we do mean quick - down our 175-ft. water slide that's faster than grease lightning! The slide and pond are located at the foot of the hill as you come into the campgrounds on Little Bear Mountain. Be sure to check the operating times.

hayrideHAYRIDES:

This is a great ride up the creek and among the Aspen groves. There is a Cowboy Cookout at the end of the ride that you won't want to miss.

raftWHITE WATER RAFTING:

Take the family or go with one of the organized groups. A half-day trip down the Colorado River in beautiful Glenwood Canyon is only $36.00 this year. It's a one-hour drive from camp to Glenwood Springs, Colorado. It's possible to arrange this on your way to/from the camp to save you the 40 mile trip. Arrangements can be made through the office at the camp.

human fbHUMAN FOOSEBALL:

Just like the table game only you put your “all” into it. Great fun for everyone!
